Your morning demands a good stretch and an even better cup of brew, and honestly there’s nothing like waking up already knowing what morning beverage you're going to order. Recent events have left many in the house for days, weeks and even months which is a tragedy for us coffee lovers who like to grab-n-go on the commute to work, with morning errands or just because. Temporary closings of local café spots forced many to figure out that morning caffeine fix via the internet and for the most part it seems to be a success. If you have milk, cream, whipped cream, Tiktok, some kitchen creativity and of course Minas Coffee you’re one step away from becoming your very own barista.
You know how coffee shops have that fancy machine that makes that super cool foam effect for your latte? Well, what if there was a way you could achieve the same outcome in just a few simple steps in the comfort of your own home?
Some will say you need instant coffee. Instead, you can grind some Minas coffee and make a fine powder. (2 tablespoons)
Sugar (2 tablespoons)
Water (2 tablespoons, hot)
Milk: (Fit for your glass, likely 1 cup)
Step 1: In a small bowl mix the ground coffee, sugar, and water together.
Step 2: Whip it! This works best with a hand mixer with a whisk attachment. If you don’t have a whisk attachment, use one beater. If you don’t have a hand mixer, you’ll have to whip it by hand. It’s possible, but will take a while. Whip until it’s thick and frothy. It’s ready if it sticks to the mixer without dripping.
Step 3: Pour milk and ice into a glass, then add the whipped coffee on top. Use a clear glass so it’s nice and Instagramable. Tag us! @minasespresso
We’d love to see your beautiful creation.
